With easy access to the A2/M2, M20, M25, rail and bus links and the Channel Tunnel/Ferry Terminals the university is easily accessible by road, rail and sea and offers a wide range of accommodation, catering and leisure facilities for groups and individuals. Canterbury is an ideal base for exploring the South East of England. The region is steeped in history and offers visitors a wide range of attractions including The Canterbury Tales, Canterbury Cathedral, Dover, Leeds and Hever Castles, Royal Tunbridge Wells and a range of sandy beaches around the Kent coastline. Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits? We offer a choice of accommodation to suit your budget including Bed and Breakfast accommodation in standard or en-suite college rooms and self-catering accommodation in five and six bedroom houses. Able to accommodate 3250 guests at any one time, with 250 en-suite bedrooms in easter vacation and 1250 in summer vacation and an attractive village of purpose-built houses. The colleges offer classic student accommodation - a study bedroom with hand basin, and adjacent shower/bathroom and toilet facilities. The purpose built houses consist of 5 or 6 single bedrooms and have a kitchen/diner. What size groups do they cater for? 10-3250 What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit? We provide a campus map that gives information on facilities on campus. Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions? Yes, there are no restrictions. How do you arrange a risk assessment? We usually recommend that group organisers visit the campus prior to their booking. However, if they are unable to visit and would like to send us a risk assessment form, we will complete the relevant details. What are the contact details for their education officer?
We have a Partnership and Development Office which co-ordinates school day visits to campus, i.e. showing potential students the facilities that the university has to offer. What does it cost?

Summer Vacation (A free place is given to the coach driver of each group) Is specific clothing required? No specific clothing is required. Do you have first aid on site? There is a medical centre on campus which is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Out of these hours, it is necessary to go to the local Hospital or contact the out of hours local doctor.
