Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits? The Museum offers free guided tours for all age ranges, visits can be tailored to the curriculum needs. For younger students we can provide learning experiences on basic circuits, magnetism and generation. Older students can be shown demonstrations of the tesla coil. All our visitors are shown early examples of electricity in action, alongside their more modern counterparts. What size groups do they cater for? 30 maximum. What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit? Not provided currently. Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions? Children can take photos. No restrictions. How do you arrange a risk assessment? Teachers are more than welcome to come for visits prior to an excursion. FREE Is specific clothing required? No. Do you have first aid on site? Please provide first aiders within your groups. What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits? There is a Museum gift shop with souvenirs of local and electrical interest. Are there disabled facilities? Yes, although there are some stairs in the Museum we will make every effort to help disabled visitors. We can bring some of the portable exhibits downstairs by arrangement.
