School Trip & Group Educational Information

Introduction for school trips and educational visits

River Dart, near Brixham is a Victorian mansion in a tranquil rural location, situated next to Agatha Christie’s Greenway Estate, overlooks National Trust woodland with magnificent views across the River Dart. It is only a short distance from the town of Brixham and our water sports programme is conducted at nearby Broadsands (transport to and from provided), activities include boogie boarding and sit on top kayaking. Land-based activities include abseiling, archery, nature trails, climbing, fencing, orienteering and bivi building. With accommodation in heated dormitories, this centre provides children with the ultimate activity and adventure experience.

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

River Dart offers young people the unique experience of combining water and land-based activities, challenging them to learn new skills. We provide one multi-trained instructor per activity group for the entire duration of your stay - this enables the instructor to understand the strengths, personalities and limitations of each individual; allowing them to reach their full potential through trust, encouragement and development.
