School Trip & Group Educational Information

Introduction for school trips and educational visits

John Nike Leisuresport is a Ski and Snowboard centre, Ice rink, Snooker Club and Gym. We can arrange individual activities, courses or multi activity days for schools and groups. Our ski centre can put together a course of ski lessons to fit in with the national curriculum. We offer skiing, snowboarding, sno-tubing, ice skating, broomball, snooker and gym sessions all at reduced rates for schools with activities from just £3 per child and lessons from just £5.25 per child!

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

We offer activities such as skiing which many children will not have the opportunity to do at a very reduced rate. We can arrange courses of lessons to fit in with GCSE PE and the national curriculum.

What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

We can arrange anything from 1 hours activity to a whole day of activities either for a fun day out for the children or with structured lessons. Each day can be tailored to the groups needs.

What size groups do they cater for?

On the ski slope anything from 6 children to 50 children at a time. On the ice rink, anything up to 600 children at a time. For multi activity days combining the ski slope and ice rink and whole days activities can be arranged for 6 to 120 children.

What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit?

We can arrange ski lessons in line with GCSE PE and would discuss the needs with the teachers before stating a course.

Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copyright restrictions?

We are happy for photos to be taken as long as the children have gained the parents permission first. They would not be able to take photos of other groups using the centre.

How do you arrange a risk assessment?

We provide a health and safety pack for teachers before coming to us. We can also provide all risk assessments in advance for each individual activity.

What are the contact details for their education officer?

We do not have an education officer but we have an event Manager who looks after school enquiries.
