What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

We can tailor make courses depending on the specific needs of the school groups, but a standard session will run as follows:

On arrival at our centre, the students are handed our Health and Safety form to fill in and asked for any medication or special attention that might be needed during the session. We then issue out wetsuits, boots and identification rash vests for the students to change in to.

The introduction part of the lesson then takes place in our sand pit "classroom" where students are taught about their equipment and how to use it safely. They are then shown how to get to their feet without losing their balance. When the first part of the lesson is completed we walk to the beach for some water time!

Everyone will be split up into groups of 5 and allocated their instructor for the remainder of the lesson. All students are helped to catch the waves by being pulled onto the wave so all they have to concentrate on is getting to their feet, and hopefully staying there! Each student will be given feedback on their progress after each wave caught.

When the lesson is completed we all return to the centre to have a hot shower! The total time of the lesson is 2 % hours.
