Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits? Carronvale House is ideally situated in the central belt of Scotland with good motorway and rail links to Glasgow (23 miles), Edinburgh (22 miles) and Stirling (9.5 miles), offering an excellent base for exploring historic buildings, museums and other places of educational interest in three of Scotland’s most important cities. What does a typical school trip or educational visit include? • At least one function room as a base, depending on the size of group and their intended programme. • Four to six hours per day free use of sports hall or all weather surface (evenings subject to availability) What size groups do they cater for? We have 60 beds over 21 bedrooms and an additional 5 z beds if required. Seventeen of the bedrooms are ensuite and consist of 6 twins, 4 triples and 7 quadruples. One of the triple ensuites meets disability requirements. The remaining four twins share two shower rooms. What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit? How do you arrange a risk assessment? We have our own in-house risk assessment but prospective guests are very welcome to carry out their own on a site visit.
