School Trip & Group Educational Information

Introduction for school trips and educational visits

The Hop Farm Family Park is the ideal place to visit in 2008, packed full of new features, attractions and exhibitions to entertain and fuel imaginations, the Hop Farm has long been one of Kent’s most popular attractions but there has never been a better time to visit.

The recently opened Legends In Wax attraction offers the opportunity to get up close and personal with legends from the worlds of sport, history, comedy music and film.

Also new for 2008 is The Hop Story, an exhibition that brings the fascinating story behind The Hop Farm to life.  From insight into the life of a hop farmer to the celebrations that accompanied the harvesting of the hops, everything you wanted to know about Kent’s hop heritage is recreated throughout five iconic oast houses.  A life size recreation of a bygone village with shops and genuine artefacts for you to enjoy.

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

The Hop Farm is home to the largest collection of Victorian Oast houses in the world and they have been sympathetically renovated and upgraded to house an abundance of fresh new attractions.

We welcome groups of all ages and have added activities such as free dray rides or tractor rides and ‘up close experience with the Shires’ that can be booked in advance for your group to enjoy.

We also have a new pottery and craft centre that have just opened, where you can make your own greetings card, personalised badge or paint a piece of pottery with your own unique design.
