School Trip & Group Educational Information

Introduction for school trips and educational visits

Our 500 acre centre is set in the heart of the Worcestershire countryside.  Our main aim is to have a school group or educational group come and visit our centre and leave at the end of the day having had a great day.  Also to gain team building and new fun experiences.

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

Our educational days involve team building, experiencing the countryside to its fullest as well as participating in activities that require the children to be active and energetic.

What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

Our educational visits includes a farm and all outdoor activities. We have canoeing, kayaking, sailing, windsurfing,  team games, low ropes, orienteering, archery, trail biking and quad biking. In the winter we continue the full range of activities except the ones which involve water.

What size groups do they cater for?

The amount of children who attend our centre is up to the school, we will set the programme around the amount of children attending the day.

What can they provide you with to support your school trip or educational visit?

Our centre caters for schools who want to use us for physical education, a treat day at the end of term or for coaching in any of the activities we offer, or just as an action packed day out where the focus is on team building.

Can you take photos, video or audio? Are there any copy write restrictions?

We are happy for children to take photos.

How do you arrange a risk assessment?

We have risk assessments on file for each activity as well as one for the centre and we are happy to email these to the teachers who require them. AALA registered.

What does it cost?

We tailor the cost to suit the schools needs for the day.  Contact the co-ordinator of the centre to discuss the schools specific needs.

Is specific clothing required?

We send out a kit list to each school with regards to the activities they have booked prior to visit.

Do you have first aid on site?

All our instructors are first aid qualified and these qualifications are available for the school to look at if required.

What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits?

We have vending machines on site.  If the school wants we supply lunch and refreshments throughout the day or the school can bring a packed lunch and we have an area for the children to have this.

Are there disabled facilities?

Our venue is suitable for disabled children.

The facilities include a sensory trail for disabled visitors and a special needs centre.
