We offer Battlefield Live guns which provide the award winning latest infra-red technology from Australia. The guns on offer give a sci-fi feel to the games and our trained staff will enable individuals to work as a team to provide a winning combination. There are no projectiles and the guns are completely safe as we can take players as young as 6 and as old as, - well let's say we held a 70th birthday party last year! Our site is between Harrogate & Knaresborough within a conifer woodland which provides all year round cover & toilet facilities are on site. We can also bring our mobile arena to your site (indoors or out) subject to a risk assessment. Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?
• Working together to achieve a common goal. What size groups do they cater for? Up to 40 - dependant on age/size etc, but can cope with larger numbers if we include other activities and do a 'round robin'. Does the visit tie into any of the key stages or curriculum topics? Foundation Stage - teaching & learning, planning & assessment, personal, social and emotional development, communication, physical & creative development. We can also provide activities for Special Needs - we have regular players from St Johns Catholic School for the Deaf Boston Spa, both at our site and at their venue.
Physical Education - acquiring & developing skills, selecting and applying skills & tactics, evaluating and improving performance, knowledge and understanding of fitness & health, games activities. What can they provide you with to support you? Handouts can be provided for the teams to work with for the activities. We can work with the teachers to provide specific packs/worksheets for the activity. How do you book a risk assessment? We can provide the risk assessments if needed. Is specific clothing required? Outdoor clothing preferred, stout footwear a must. We can provide coveralls if needed at our venue. Do you have first aid on site? First aider on site, although it would benefit if the group also brings qualified first aiders. What facilities do they have for school trips and educational visits? Covered area provided with seats. Drinks/biscuits are usually provided for the players, extra food etc can be arranged. Are there disabled facilities? Yes. Extra information you may find useful… Our site is an ideal outdoor classroom, located in a conifer woodland & adjacent to ancient semi-natural woodland within the Nidd Gorge, it is home to a large variety of wildlife in natural habitat.
