CONTACT: 0121 666 7671 School Trip & Group Educational Information Birmingham's last surviving court of back-to-back housing has now been fully restored by the Birmingham Conservation Trust and the National Trust. Thousands of houses like these were built, literally back to back, around courtyards, for the rapidly increasing population of Britain's expanding industrial towns. The story of the site is told through the experiences of the people who lived and worked here. Visitors move through four different periods, from 1840 to the 1970s. The design of each interior reflects the varied cultures, religions and professions of the families who made their homes here. Group sizes: School groups for workshops are restricted to 30. Visits to this property are by guided tour only. Due to limited space we can only take 8 visitors around at one time. Larger groups can be accommodated by block booking consecutive tours which run every 15 minutes. Age range: 5 to university Work Sheets: A photo pack of 8 pictures of elements of the property is available as well as information sheets for the three workshops which we currently run which are:
• Key stage 1 Toys and homes Risk assessment: Teachers are welcome to do pre-arranged risk assessments ,however we do provide information as part of our welcome information.
