School Trips & Group Educational Information

Battersea Park Children’s Zoo was taken over by the Heaps in 2004 and has undergone a complete renovation.  We house lemurs, monkeys, otters, meerkats, owls, various birds and we also have Barley Mow farm where you can see our donkeys, sheep, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and our Kune Kune pigs.  Our tours are tailored to suit your needs and are aimed at children of all ages teaching them about the environment and the animals and plants that share it with us.  There is use of the Treetop Centre for a teaching session and the Guide will be on hand throughout your visit.

Cost: £5.00 per child – 1 adult free with every five paying children.
£6.50 extra adults.

Additional Information:

• Teachers packs and work sheets available at time of booking.

• Teachers are welcome to do pre-arranged risk assessments.

• Qualified First aid personnel on site.
 
Facilities include:  Story trail for age 3 - 5 and Nature trail for 5 – 15.  lavatories, shop and café on site, school groups are welcome to bring packed lunches and use cabins.
