School Trip & Group Educational Information

Trinity Sailing provides tall ships sail training voyages for groups of young people on its fleet of four traditional sailing vessels. They take around 500 young people sailing every year and they work with a wide range of schools and colleges across the UK.

The voyages are a combination of challenge, adventure, teamworking, leadership and personal discovery, and the sea quickly impresses on young people the need to be able to accomplish tasks by using and developing their individual skills and abilities.

Young people benefit greatly from being involved in healthy physical outdoor activities and they can gain even more in terms of personal development by having the opportunity to work within a team in an exciting and challenging environment.

The young people will be involved in all aspects of helping to sail the vessel, both above and below decks, under the guidance of their professional crew, who have wide experience of working with a broad range of young people from different organisations.

The sailing area includes the south coasts of Devon & Cornwall, the Channel Islands and Brittany, and there is plenty of time to explore ashore, swim and have barbecues at each port of call.

Trinity is an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) accredited sailing school and each young person will leave the boat at the end of the week with a voyage completion certificate.
