School Trip & Group Educational Information

The National Stud……..a visit to remember!

The National stud is set in 500 beautiful acres of tree lined paddocks and is home to a selection of top class thoroughbreds.  Tours provide the opportunity to see the stallions, mares and foals who reside there and the miniature Shetland ponies provide a warm welcome for all visitors.

The Stud is open to the public from March through to September plus Newmarket autumn race days.  Guided tours run twice daily at 11.15am and 2.00pm and larger groups are welcome to take their own private tour at any time between 9.30am and 3.00pm.  Tours are 75 minutes long and are taken by coach and on foot.

The Weatherbys Pavillion provides invaluable background information about all aspects of The National Stud. The Wavertrees Coffee and Gift Shop is open daily to the general public from 9.30am until 4.30pm throughout the year, offering breakfast, light lunches and afternoon teas.
