With over 18 years experience bringing nature to the public, Conwy Butterfly Jungle has established a reputation for holding one of the most colourful and diverse ranges of tropical butterflies in the UK.

Thanks to the realistic soundscape of rainforest sounds, free-flying finches, and warming temperatures around 25 degrees centigrade, their Jungle greenhouse creates an captivating and authentic environment.

Between 150-200 chrysalids are imported from around the world on a weekly basis, to ensure there is a good variety of butterflies for visitors to see and often photograph!

There is a variety of plants and trees some being around 30 years old, such as the Angels Trumpet with its impressive bell-like flowers, and Bougainvillea, and there is a good variety of flowering plants – an important nectar source for feeding butterflies.

Set in a scenic location between Bodlondeb Park and Bodlondeb woods, Conwy Butterfly Jungle offers fantastic views and attracts a wide variety of native birds and wildlife, which are frequently seen in the relaxing picnic area.

So whether you want to sit and relax while watching these beautiful butterflies in their daily activities or learn more about these incredible insects Conwy Butterfly Jungle offers interest to everyone of all ages.

Conwy Butterfly Jungle opens on Saturday March 24, 10am to 4pm, and is closed on Tuesdays. March to end October.
