School Trip & Group Educational Information

Introduction for school trips and educational visits

This venue has LOtC quality Badge

Every young person remembers their residential trips – a time of laughter, exploring exciting new experiences, learning new skills, as well as discovering a little more about themselves and those around them.
We provide this at Lodge Hill Centre, which is a short stay education centre with a camp site, Eco Lodges & challenging activities contained within 30 acres of woodland. Over the course of 60 years the centre has become a firm favourite with schools, youth groups, voluntary organisations, young musicians & community groups of all ages.
Our aim, for every participant, by the end of their stay is to have gained knowledge of their own abilities, self-confidence and real pride in their achievements, both as individuals & team members.
It is great to see young people & adults build in confidence & self- esteem by accepting the challenges that we are able to set them.

Why is this venue great for School Trips and Educational Visits?

Lodge Hill Centre is run by a small, experienced team, which makes your stay with us very personal. We are flexible in our working and can adapt to any situations. We believe the biggest barrier to achievement is fear of failure, and in the environment we provide we allow people to extend their skills and learn new ones.
We have 23 activities all on our site, ranging from Archery, Circus Skills workshop, Sand Karts and North American Indian experience.

What does a typical school trip or educational visit include?

Each Group’s residential stay is different and we tailor them to your requirements. They range from just using the centre on an accommodation basis, having breakfast, leaving for the day and returning for dinner, to Groups staying on site throughout their residential, partaking in various onsite activities supplied by Lodge Hill, or organised by themselves.
Residential trips can be self catering on the Campsite & in the Eco Lodges to fully catered in the main house.
Activities we have on offer are: Abseiling/Parachute jump, Animal Encounters, Archery, Climbing tower, Basic Circus Skills Workshops, Environmental Project / Shelter build, High All Aboard, High Ropes, High Zip Line, Low Ropes, Low Zip Line, Mountain Biking, Night Hike, North American Indian Experience, Orienteering, Rifles, Sand Karts, Sledge Run, Team Building, Traverse Wall, Treasure Trail, Tunneling, Water Sports [off site]
